GWU slams ‘repeated’ Arriva salary errors
The General Workers Union expresses concern over repeated errors in wages issued by Arriva.
The General Workers Union (GWU) has formally asked public transport operator, Arriva, to take immediate action in regards to repeated errors in the salaries issued to its employees.
GWU noted that the latest errors took place in the salaries paid on 4 January, in which a number of employees were not paid their salaries in full.
"This was not the first time such errors took place, despite constant assurances by the company that arrears would be paid in subsequent salaries. These promises have not been kept," the GWU said.
In the letter sent to Arriva, the union's transport section secretary, Charles Agius pointed out that while the situation is "unacceptable" the union will take all necessary actions to protect the employees' interests.

Arriva should not worry about all this. They will soon have Delia as an MP defending their case, because the 5th District has been left open for him to occupy. David Casa is a nobody in that district.
