Police sting yields large quantity of drugs
A large quantity of drugs has been seized on board a speed boat in a sting operation reportedly conducted by Drug Squad police and the AFM maritime rapid deployment team.

Two men have been arrested, while details have not yet been released.
It is understood that the drugs were seized when a speed boat was intercepted while entering Xemxija bay.
An AFM boarding unit stormed the boat and arrested the men, while the drugs were found hidden beneath the boards.
It is believed that the speedboat had made a rendez-vous on the high seas a few hours earlier.
A magisterial inquiry is underway.
Sources have told MaltaToday that one of the men arrested, is the son of a prominent person.
