Promotions at prisons continue – Labour
Labour MP Michael Falzon insists promotions at Corradino prisons resumed following brief halt, blamed on administrative shortcomings.
The promotions at the Corradino Correctional Facility have resumed despite the government's failure to explain why the exercise was halted two weeks ago, Labour MP Michael Falzon said. |
"Although the process was marred by serious doubts from the very beginning, this week interviews were held for persons who applied for the Assistant Manager posts," Falzon said.
He added that other persons are expected to be interviewed for the posts of Majors and Supervisors in the next few days, "in the midst of an electoral campaign."
The Opposition spokesperson on home affairs said: "The most shocking factor in this shady affair is that the persons responsible for the so called shortcomings were kept on the Selection Board," Falzon said.
He added that this affair is symptomatic of the total lack of decency in the GonziPN system which is only concerned with satisfying its own political exigencies.
