Liquigas lowers gas cylinders prices

What a massive surprise and you could have knocked me down with a feather when I heard this "news".It states here that "Liquigas cylinder distributors are not auhorised to charge additional prices over and above prices shown"(Why never any mention of Easygas?)However,where else are these prices shown besides the newpaper and on the various websites ?According to the MRA website "Gas distributors must clearly display their prices" moreover,that "when requested by the consumer,a receipt must be issued".Distinct failures then on both these counts.Also the MRA advised me that it was the duty of obligation and responsibility of the MCCAA to ensure these basic tenets and consumer expectations -yet the MCCAA refuse to respond to my submissions. Can anyone name any product one purchases whereby the price is clearly not shown at point of purchase furthermore, when a product is subject to a VAT payment-as LPG cylinders clearly are - a VAT receipt is not automatically issued to the purchaser?

How convenient to a looming Election!! I though Liquigas was not controlled by the Government. This proves that past prices were imposed by the Government to Liquigas. What a country!!!

It would be VERY interesting if Liquigas and the Malta Resources Authority were to explain in detail the reasons for this very welcome but unexpected drop in prices. Has something happened in the world fossil fuel markets that we don't know about? Or are those markets being affected by the prospect of the election in Malta? I have a niggling feeling.....

ho! ho! ho! Father Christmas came late this year. Pity that I already starting using my gas heater. Could have waited a bit longer.
