First communications coordinators meeting to be held tomorrow
Finance Minister and Minister for Home Affairs and Security still looking for a communications coordinator.
The ministers' Chiefs of Staff and Communications Coordinators will tomorrow have their first official meeting at Castille after most of the ministries have now settled down.
It is only the Ministry for Finance and the Ministry for Home Affairs and Security who are still seeking to appoint a communications coordinator.
MaltaToday is informed that a new structure will be in place, differentiating from the structure used under the PN administration.
The new structure sees the chief of staff and communications coordinators of every ministry also representing the parliamentary secretary within the respective ministry where necessary.
This means that instead of 22 communications coordinators and 22 chiefs of staff, the number will be reduced as to have a more effective structure.
The practice under the previous administration was that parliamentary secretaries also enjoyed a head of secretariat and communication coordinators.
Now the ministries will have a chief of staff, with parliamentary secretaries aided by the head of secretariat who must still go through the respective ministries' chief of staff.
