Cat found dead, crucified upside down to a fence in Mosta, the seventh such occurrence in 18 months.
The police are investigating yet another case of a crucified cat in Mosta.
A cat was found dead this morning, crucified in Triq it- Torri Mosta. The dead cat was found on a railing around a roadside statue at10am.
Earlier this year, the Police had discovered another two cats crucified in Mosta on 17 January and 10 February. One had been found hanging to the gate of a chapel in Triq San Anton Abbati while the other was found dead in Baskal Buhagiar Street, also crucified.
The Police are investigating the seventh such occurrence since 2011, with most incidents happening around the 16th day of the month. Seven cats and dogs have been found hanging dead in Mosta since October 2011, with a number of notes being discovered, in which the perpetrator said the suffering he or she had gone through was worse than that of the dead dogs.
Although the police have questioned a number of people over such incidents in recent months, no one has been charged in court over the Mosta incidents.
