PM writes to US President to offer his condolences
Prime Minister Joseph Muscat sends message of condolences to US President Barack Obama in wake of Boston attacks.
In a letter he sent to US President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat expressed his deepest condolences for the attack at the Boston Marathon on Monday, leaving three dead at scores injured.
"Allow me to express my deepest shock and profound sadness at the news of the bombing attack at the Boston marathon. This egregious attack is all the more senseless on account of it targeting such a beloved and world-renowned event," Muscat told Obama.
The Prime Minister said Malta and its people wished to express their sincere solidarity as he conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the US government and its people.
"In particular, our heartfelt condolences go to the victims' families and their loved ones," Muscat said.
