Former Labour MP gets tourism authority’s chairmanship
Gavin Gulia, MP who failed to get elected in 2013, appointed chairman of Malta Tourism Authority; two former PN MPs join the board.

Former Labour MP Gavin Gulia, who in the past shadowed the tourism authority, has been appointed chairman of the Malta tourism Authority.
He replaces outgoing chairman Ray Fenech, of the Tumas Group, who has been appointed chairman of national carrier Air Malta instead of Louis Farrugia.
Gulia, a lawyer by profession, served as parliamentary secretary for the self-employed in the 1996 Labour government.
The other appointments on the MTA board are Mario Attard, George Micallef and Tony Zahra from the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association, former PN MP Frans Agius, Alan Borg, Joseph Muscat, Ian Tonna from the Federation of Travel Agents, Air Malta chief operations officer Philip Saunders, Maryanne Pule, and Dr George Hyzler.
