Carmen Pullicino Orlando recent appointment as a Transport Malta board member has come under intense scrutiny, but maybe that has more to do with her marriage to former PN dissident Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando,
In an interview with Sunday newspaper Illum, long time Labour activist Carmen Pullicino Orlando speaks about her political formation from a very early age and her beliefs.
"Politics is there to guarantee people's rights," Pullicino Orlando says.
She also sheds light on her marriage with a former PN politician and what her family experienced in recent years at the height of the turbulent political scene which saw her husband play a central role.
"The attacks on my husband were the best University of my life," she says, adding that her husband had nothing to do with her appointment at Transport Malta.

prosit dr muscat. mrs c pullicino orlando got the job because she is competent and she had proved her competence in the private sector industry. who you are does not matter with this government but its the case of what abilities you have. for all these moaners that have cropped up since the 10 of march let it be known to them that meritocracy is what really matters with this government.

Maybe she can shed some light on the time when she turned Nationalist? And this was time before she met JPO. She even had a post within the Malta Tourism Authority structure.
