Tourism minister calls for synergy between ITS and tourism entities

Tourism minister Karmenu Vella has called for improved synergy between the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) and entities operating in the tourism sector.

Attending for a meeting of the ITS board of directors, chaired by Ernest Azzopardi chairperson, Vella reiterated the significant input of the tourism sector to the Maltese economy and the important role the ITS played in this chain.

The minister said ITS not only educated students in tourism but gave special attention to the formation of students in terms of hospitality.

Board members include Charles Martin, Michelle Muscat Portelli, Carlo Micallef, Joseph Bonello, Carmela Said and Adrian Grech Cumbo.
