Standards Authority recalls baby walkers

The Malta Standards Authority has ordered the recall of the Roane model of baby walkers of the Alexis make.

These baby walkers have been tested and found to be non-compliant with the requirements of European Standard EN 1273. Of particular mention is the fact that these baby walkers have been found to breach the requirements of the clause for the prevention of falls down steps, hence posing a serious risk to infants.

Consumers are urged to refrain from using these baby walkers and to return them to the place of purchase. Economic operators who have these products in their shops are required to withdraw them from the market with immediate effect and to return them to their supplier.

The Malta Standards Authority reserves the right to take action against economic operators who display and sell this model of baby walkers.
