Transport Malta in €3 million deal with Air Malta
Days before the 9 March election Transport Malta paid €3 million for land owned by Air Malta in Pembroke.

Transport Malta paid €3 million for a piece of land in Pembroke owned by Air Malta. The deal was quietly finalised days before the general election.
The land is currently used by third persons and the deal does not effect the current usage.
The deal was done secretly and was intended to ease Air malta's debts.

The land is not owned by Air Malta. It was appearing on the Air Malta balance sheet when the company was fully owned by the Maltese government. Selling it to a Maltese agency, which was previously a government department does not change anything as regards Air Malta's debt. How long are we, taxpayers, going to allow this kind of deceving management? Where is the accountability politicians talk so much about? Bring the officials resoponsible for this accounting act to explain the reasoning behind this move. If this is not done then those closing their eyes are parties to this 'theft'.

Tonio Fenech imported a foreigner instead of appointing a cuc malti to run AirMalta,is this the best Mr Davies can do for his €500,000 per year wages to cure the ils of the airline? Secretly selling off the airline's assets? The government should ask for a full account of what Mr Davies has done, apart from employing close friends in prominent places,for the last 3 or 4 years.
