Should hunting be banned?

Now, thinkahead let me teach you. Bulls are tortured before execution, and have a very painful, slow death ! Compare this ! What is worse, is that the EU gives funds to blue eyed Spain for bullfighting ! Did you know that ?

For those living in cuckoo land please note that right now yes right now in full spring time you can go to the UK and shoot as many wood pigeon, crows, certain types of gulls, canada geese ect as these are considered PESTS and can be shot all year round!

There is a big difference between domesticated animals and wild ones. That aside: perhaps hunting should be banned in Malta - spring hunting definitely so. Killing birds when they are migrating to lay eggs only makes sense if you want to make them extinct.

Definately Spring hunting must stop and no loopholes to be sought for trapping of any sort. Disagree with hunting but respect the hunters right to do so legally in autumn and with strict control preferably if the hunting lobby will itself stop turning a blind eye to those committing illegalities within its own ranks.

Thinkahead,bulls belong to one person,but can you tell me how it became his?Can you tell me how birds belong to everybody and bulls don't?If the whole entire world can enjoy the same bird,why can't it enjoy the same bull? If Seracin can kill all his chickens and you don't care,because you said that the they are his chickens,but NO you can't kill my birds.What makes them yours? If they are yours,they are mine too. So if Seracin can kill his chickens because they are his,with the same reasoning I can kill my birds too because you don't care as long as I kill what is mine. Maybe even you need some education to understand that even Seracin has similar rights.

First of all,I want to make it clear that I'm not a hunter or trapper. I had to say this because I don't anyone thinking that I have some special interest in this issue. But I have to say No,it should not be banned. Spring is the only time for the Maltese hunters to practice their hobby since Autumn does'nt present an alternative to practice their hobby like in any other European countries. More enforcement is needed and severe and heavy fines to those who break the hunting rules.

I dislike killing animals. However I love eating pork, chicken, beef, lamb and fish. Isn't it at least a tad hypocritical of us all to pay farmers, butchers and fisheries to supply us with meat but ask hunters not to practice their hobby? I hold some sympathy for vegeterians and vegans, even though they absent mindedly kill hundreds of tiny animals on a daily basis - but as long as I'm still eating my ham and cheese sandwiches I won't be asking hunters to put down their guns.

killing or maiming a bird going to nest is not intelligent no matter how you wrap it up.

Yes, definitely ban. This will allow, in some years' time,us to ear birdsong in our country; and it would help save face for our government, be it LP and PN, in aasking and justifying derogations with the EU.
