Everybody except the PM knew that the Presidential Pardon was a special preference gift to Mr George Farrugia. Mr Farrugia happens to have engaged one of the most notorious lawyers in the country and you cannot outfox the fox. Granting a Presidential Pardon by the PM is a very sophisticated and only happens on rare occasions. One never grants a Presidential Pardon to the top banana to squeal on the little bananas like it was done in this case. It is usually the little banana that is granted the Presidential Pardon so he can name the big banana. The police already knew that the Big Banana was rotten and there was no need to grant him a Presidential Pardon. I wonder what the payoff was in this Presidential Pardon because according to the police George Farrugia has not told them anything they did not already know. Very interesting.
