After consultations with the Prime Minister, newly appointed ETC chairman Alfred Grixti has decided to quit from head of Thomas More School, with effect from the next scholastic year.

"This move will allow me to fully concentrate on the difficulties and challenges presented by this new role," Grixti told Sunday newspaper IIlum.

Details of the contract were not yet available as this was still being formulated.

Nonetheless, Grixti still intends to contest the Zebbug local council elections in 2015, where he is still serving as Mayor.

In the same interview, Grixti also states that one of the reasons why the ETC may lose 17 million Euro is that "those responsible added further unnecessary local rules... they wanted to be more catholic than the pope."

Having a gentleman who put a something as a roundabout display having the prim minister come to town to cut the ribbon with all the fun fair for the invited guests and putting the highest flag pole waiting for the first strong wind or a road incident to test it, in the middle of the road to blow or to be hit, who need anyone else to come to town with new ideas. Keep it up Fred.

Congratulations Alfred (or better still Fredu) on your new appointment; where are those days we used to spend at the Macina especially when we had National Bureau (Executive) meetings.
