Mellieha local council issues public call for open space development

The Mellieha local council is planning its first capital project and has decided to develop the land confined between Triq in-Nahal, Triq Mons Frangisk Xuereb and Triq l-Etna in Mellieha, known as Mellieha Heights.

As such, the Local Council has decided to seek public consultation with all the residents and associations of Mellieha and Manikata.

A public call for designs is being issued which will be later considered by the Mellieha.

Local Council according to the following guidelines:

• The project must respect the topography of the land and act as landscaping;
• The submission dates are between Monday 8 July 2013 and Friday 9 August 2013 at noon;
• The designs will be short listed by the Tender Adjudication Board. The final choice will be done by the local council and the decision will be a final one;

• The Mellieha Local Council reserves the right to amend the selected proposal after seeking technical opinion of the architect in charge of the project.

All designs received will be on display for the general public during the Mellieha Nights event which will be held between the 16 and the 18 August 2013.

Applications can be collected from the Mellieha Local Council's office from Monday 8 July 2013 during office hours.
