Labour MEP seeks answers on migration talks with Libya
European Commission asked to give details of talks with Libya if any - question tabled by MEP Abela Baldacchino.
Labour MEP Claudette Abela Baldacchino has asked the European Commission to give details of talks with Libya pertaining to the "immigration crisis", the MEP said in a statement.
Abela Baldacchino asked in particular about the progress on discussions with Libya, and what measures will be taken based on the conclusions of these talks.
"Many migrants die in their attempt to cross the Mediterranean Sea. This is reason enough to make sure that this is tackled in a comprehensive way, and put an end to this phenomenon."

Would expect some originality from our MEP delegation in Brussels. The question asked by Claudette is almost identical to the one asked last week by Marlene Mizzi.
With the limited resources at our disposal, it would make much more sense for our MEPs not to step on each other's feet.
