[WATCH] Is the far-right back?
Following the migrant pushback controversy, far-rightist Norman Lowell made a return days after appearing in court for inciting racial hatred.
Far-right extremist Norman Lowell this week broke his silence and held a press conference in Valletta on migration and his MEP candidature.
This week, Lowell was acquitted on appeal of insulting the President, but his conviction for inciting racial hatred was upheld.
Expressing his support to the Prime Minister Joseph Muscat's failed attempt to send migrants back to Libya, Lowell said Muscat had missed an opportunity to become "Europe's hero" after the pushback was blocked by the European Court of Human Rights.
In a press conference held yesterday, Lowell suggested that Malta should open its own embassies in such African countries such as Somalia and Sudan, to stamp passports which migrants "chuck into the seas." This, according to Lowell, would see migrants sent back to their countries of origin.
