First seven Labour MEP candidates announced
First batch of Labour candidates for the euro parliament elections approved and revealed.
Former ONE journalist Miriam Dalli is one of the first seven candidates contesting the MEP elections on a Labour ticket.
The Labour Party's executive has approved the first batch of candidates for the euro parliament elections taking place in May next year.
The first group of seven are all newcomers, including former Labour prime minister Alfred Sant.
The other six are former ONE journalist Miriam Dalli, LGBT consultative council chairman Cyrus Engerer, Qala mayor Clint Camilleri, architect Lino Bianco, lecturer Ivan Grixti and former CPD head Joseph Cordina.
The second batch of candidates will be announced in the coming weeks.
