Arriva submits response to Transport Ministry’s technical report

Local bus company Arriva Malta has today delivered its response to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure's report into the investigation of vehicle fires. 

Arriva Malta has carried out a detailed examination of the reports presented to them, taking advice from technical experts including the vehicle manufacturers. The response includes a detailed plan to address all of the recommendations made in order to restore public confidence.  Relevant certificates for any adjustments made to the vehicles since manufacture have also been submitted as part of the response.

"Arriva Malta now awaits the approval of Transport Malta to commence the certification process prior to reintroducing the vehicles to serve the Maltese travelling public," the company said in a statement.
