Prime Minister briefed on Egypt situation

Egypt's foreign affairs minister Nabil Fahmy has briefed Prime Minister Joseph Muscat over the current situation in Egypt.

Fahmy admitted that Egypt's challenges were huge during this transitional period but expressed trust that the Egyptian political situation reaches a desired outcome.

Muscat said he hoped that the political process is implemented in the best possible way, as stability in Egypt was important for the Mediterranean.

Muscat also said that Malta considered Egypt as a trusted friend and important partner.
