A bilateral agreement in aviation was signed between Malta and Kuwait today in New York. The agreement was signed after a meeting held between Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and his Kuwaiti counterpart Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah on the fringes of the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The agreement was signed by foreign affairs minister George Vella and his Kuwaiti counterpart Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah. The bilateral meeting focused on aviation with Muscat highlighting the success enjoyed by the aviation companies operating in Malta. The signing of the agreement marks months of discussions and establishes regular flights between Malta and Kuwait, increasing passenger movement and attracting investment.

In a statement, the government said the agreement provides for services, such as scheduling and capacity, to facilitate flights between the two countries. It applies for all airlines, including Air Malta, Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways Company.

I hope that the Prime Minister has phoned simon about this agreement, other wise we are going to have trouble again and simon will tell us he doesn't like the Kuwaitis to have their finger on aviation.

@Thorny . Wake me up when it's over. Busullotti is going to remain asleep forever as no Prince Charming is anywhere near to wake up Sleeping Beauty.

If I'm not mistaken a Double Taxation Agreement between Malta and the Russian Federation has been signed yesterday after years in abeyance, and which the PN administration never succeeded to conclude. Shows that this government has rolled up its sleeves and is doing a great job. Keep up the good work.
