Maltese High Commissioner, Consul at the Farnborough International Airshow

Malta’s High Commissioner to London, Joseph Zammit Tabona together with the Honorary Consul to Dublin, Terry Loane, attended the second day of the Farnborough International Airshow.  

The Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) is one of the world’s most iconic global aviation events. FIA holds a prominent position within the aerospace calendar taking place on a biennial basis over one week in July. The first five days of the show are traditionally trade days only, followed by a weekend where the exhibition is opened up to the public.

The High Commissioner was the guest of Eurocopter, the world’s number one helicopter manufacturer in the civil and public market. Eurocopter is a Division of EADS, a world leader in aerospace, defense and related services. Eurocopter’s strong worldwide presence is ensured by its subsidiaries on five continents, along with a dense network of distributors, agents and maintenance centres. The UK subsidiary, Eurocopter UK has a strong industrial footprint and enjoys a reputation for innovation, high quality and a strong customer service ethos. High Commissioner Zammit Tabona highlighted the opportunities that Malta has to offer companies like Eurocopter. These could include the financing of helicopters, registration under the new Aircraft Registration Legislation and normal operations for such companies.

Amongst others, the High Commissioner visited the stands of EADS Group which includes Airbus and Eurocopter
