Man charged with attempted murder
Noel Farrugia, 31 from Marsa has been remanded in custody after being charged with the attempted murder of Omar Faiz El Sallak, a 40 year-old Libyan who is resident in Malta.
Sallak was grieviously injured with a stab wound to the chest during a fight in Marsa two days ago.
Farrugia was charged with having stabbed El Sallak in the chest with a kitchen knife during a fight that took place inside an apartment in Racecourse Street, Marsa.
