What’s the cost of a PQ?
Well… it all depends on the type of parliamentary question raised.
If you have ever wondered how much questions raised in parliament cost the exchequer... then you have to keep on guessing.
Because a question raised by Labour MP Deo Debattista got a very simple reply: the cost of a parliamentary question depends on the type of question raised.
The reply to Debattista's question was tabled by Finance Minister Edward Scicluna.
Admittedly a curious question, Debattista asked how much a parliamentary question cost in terms of the research involved in giving the reply.
Thousands of questions are raised every year by the MPs, with topics varying from government work to individual cases of people hailing from the MPs' electoral districts.
