63-year old in grievous condition after traffic accident

A 63-year old man is suffering from grievous injuries after he was hit by a vehicle earlier this morning. 

The incident happened in St Julian’s road, Birkirkara around 9.15am.

Police said that from preliminary investigations, the victim - who resides in Marsa – was crossing the road near the roundabout which leads to Mater Dei Hospital, when he was hit by a car driven by a 25 year old man from Msida.

The 63-year old was taken to Mater Dei Hospital. Police are investigating the case.
