Mosta cat killer marks second anniversary with new crucifixions

The discovery was made in Durumblat Street, near the former Flower Power premises.

Two years on from the first case of crucified animals in Mosta in October 2011, the Mosta cat killer continued with another crucifixion this morning. The series of crucified cats in Mosta continued with the discovery of two crucified cats this morning.

The discovery was made in Durumblat Street, near the former Flower Power premises.

The cats were found crucified upside down on two trees.

Yesterday evening, numerous people on facebook including Mosta residents, encouraged everyone to keep an eye open should they come across something suspicious.

Last month, sister newspaper ‘Illum’ reported how police were giving the impression that they were closing in on the perpetrator in order to try and deter any further cases.

But last month’s case, which was allegedly carried out in daylight, raised several doubts to residents and even local council officials.

Cases of crucified cats have now been ongoing for more than two years, with the first case taking place in October 2011. With only a few exceptions, the events always unfolded on the sixteenth day of the month.
