€100,000 scheme launched for water conservation and wells restoration
The scheme encourages the use of collected rainwater and water conservation.
A scheme for the restoration of domestic wells was launched by the Malta Resources Authority (MRA), encouraging the use of collected rainwater and water conservation.
The scheme will have a €100,000 budget, where the government will make up for half the restoration costs (up to €1,000) and 100% of the certification costs (up to €100).
In a statement, the MRA said that plumbing expenses concurred for a distribution system of this water can be considered as part of the expenses covered.
Architects are requested to record the present damages before restoration works are carried out.
Applications are open till the end of this year, but may close earlier should the allocated funds run out. Applications are acceptd on a first come first served basis.
