'Forget the world and trends, just follow Christ...' Nikol Cauchi
Former Gozo bishop Nikol Cauchi stressed during a homily that “Catholics should follow Christ’s teaching and not worldly trends.”
Mgr Cauchi, who was delivering a homily during Mass at Ta’ Hamet church on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, stressed that who declared himself as a Catholic, must "forget the world and its trends, but follow Christ."
He stressed that “divorce was wrong, and people knew it was not a solution to family problems, but rather complicated matters.”
He called on the faithful to pray to the Virgin Mary to protect Maltese families.

The Gozo Bishop, of course, forgot to explain the difference (to families) between separated parents who find and live with new partners, and divorced couples who remarry.
In view of the above, the Gozo Bishop should perhaps explain how divorce would complicate matters. The opposite seems to be the case.
