Diesel inspections confirm fuel according to EU specifications
Inspections carried out on diesel before distribution confirm fuel was according to specifications set by the European Union.
Tests carried out on diesel before it was distributed to petrol stations confirmed that the fuel was according to EU specifications.
Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi confirmed Enemalta had received complaints over the quality of diesel that was allegedly resulting in the malfunctioning of fuel pumps.
Following the complaints, Inspectorate Malta was asked to carry out a number of tests on diesel samples. The samples were taken from bowsers before the fuel was distributed to the petrol stations.
The tests, conducted in October, confirmed that the fuel was according to EU specifications.
