FKNK claim foul play in collection of petitions

The FKNK (Federazzjoni Kaccaturi Nassaba Konservazzjonisti) has claimed that unathorised persons are collecting the signed petitions, which the FKNK itself issued last week to safeguard the rights of minorities, from shop-owners in order to discard them.

Last week, the hunting lobby launched a petition to Parliament to amend the Referendum Act to protect minority rights were profoundly undemocratic and unethical.

The FKNK has urged persons who have signed the petition to make sure that their document reaches FKNK directly to avoid such occurrences.

It also asked that persons who may either have witnessed such incidents or may have been asked for their signed petition by an unathorised person, to contact the FKNK immediately.
