The Three Kings arrived this afternoon on an Air Malta flight to participate in the closing of the fifth edition of Bethlehem f'Għajnsielem in Gozo.

200 actors are taking part in this popular yearly event spread over 20,000 square metres in the quaint Gozitan village.

The nativity village has been setup to narrate the story of Christmas. Together with the grotto and baby Jesus, traditional vegetable and fish markets, carpenters, blacksmiths as well as a small river have been set up as part of this live re-enactment.

The three kings, also known as the Magi, are regular figures in Christmas celebrations and are an important part of Christian tradition.

The adoration of the Magi at Bethlehem f'Għajnsielem will be held on Epiphany, tomorrow.

Air Malta said it supports such initiatives and events as they contribute to the variety of attractions tourists can experience whilst visiting the Maltese islands especially during holiday periods.

Entrance for the event is free.
