Marsa horse racetrack may be privatised
In the coming weeks, the Government is expected to put forward a call for interest to both local and international companies who are interested in the privatisation scheme of the Marsa racetrack according to the left leaning newspaper l-orizzont
According to the General Workers’ Union daily l-orizzont, the parliamentary secretariat responsible for sports was participating in discussions with several individuals within the horses’ race sector who showed interest to undertake the management of the facilities of the Marsa racetrack.
When Clyde Puli was asked by newspaper to confirm the decision, he gave no answer.
Presently, it is the Kunsill Malti għall-iSports who delegate the racetrack’s management and also the Malta Racing Club’s race program.
