EC finds no infringement in environmental procedure at Delimara

European Commission ‘unable to identify potential breach of EU environmental legislation’ over the Delimara energy project.

The European Commission was unable to identify potential breach of EU environmental legislation over the Delimara energy project after the current administration did not carry out a strategic environment assessment.

Tomorrow, Sunday newspaper Illum publishes details on the European Commission's decision, relating to the preparation of an environment impact assessment for the gas power station at Delimara.

The decision comes after a request by environment NGO Din L-Art Helwa to the European Commission.

Among others, Illum carries a feature on the citizenship scheme, an interview with Labour MEP candidate Fleur Vella and the latest from the BOV Premier League.
