Efforts to shorten University Law course ongoing for years

The Law course offered by Malta’s University does not conform to other University courses, or those structures laid down within the Lisbon Convention.

The concention provides guidelines of how University courses within the EU should be structured to ensure conformity on an equal footing.

Weekly newspaper Illum reveals that as the course currently stands, students have to graduate three times before being able to practice law, student representatives told MaltaToday – a unique state of affairs within the University of Malta.
