'Missing' woman extradited to Malta from the UK

A woman reported missing to the police has been extradited from the UK back to Malta and incarcerated at Corradino prison on charges of having imported 5,000 ecstasy pills in 2007.

She had already absconded to the UK in 2008 when facing a trial by jury, and extradited to Malta.

But she went back to the UK while on bail in Malta, and was again extradited, arriving by escort of the London Metropolitan Police yesterday.
