Darren Debono jailed for six months

HSBC heist suspect Darren Debono has been jailed for six months for breaching bail conditions when he was caught on another armed heist last December.

Debono, 36 from Marsascala was seriously wounded in his legs, during a foiled hold-up on a jeweller in Attard last December 3.

It was the second time that he was injured in a shoot-out during heists he was allegedly involved in.

In June last year, he was arrested while attempting to seek medical help for a bullet that was wedged in his jaw following a dramatic shoot-out with the police during the foiled hold-up on the HSBC Bank’s main vault in Qormi.
