Man robbed in Valletta, suffers light injuries

A 48-year-old man residing in Valletta has personally filed a Police report after he was robbed and suffered light injuries.

The man reported that yesterday at around 8pm, he was approached by two men in front of his house in Strait Street, Valletta. One of the robbers was armed with a pointed instrument.

The thieves managed to take the victim’s wallet which contained €25 and a mobile phone.

The victim reported that he was injured in the incident as he tried to take the knife away from the robbers. Reportedly, the thieves ran away when they saw the man had been injured.

The victim also visited the Floriana Health Centre where he was certified to be suffering from "non-grievous" injuries.

A Police investigation is ongoing.
