BWSC witness hearing to start on November 1
The Public Accounts Committee today decided on the procedures of how witnesses on the BWSC contract for the Delimara power station contract will be heard.
Chaired by Labour MP Charles Mangion, a short meeting of the PAC today focused on the procedural issues on the hearing of the witnesses over the BWSC contract. The main decision was to allow the presence of a lawyer while the witness is being heard before the Committee.
Mangion suggested that a timetable is created to list the hearings, while it was decided that the first two sessions take place on 1 and 2 November, from 4pm till 9pm.
It was also agreed that a representative of the Attorney General is present for any legal issues which may arise.
Also present for the session were Nationalist MP Philip Mifsud, Transport Minister Austin Gatt, Finance Minister Tonio Fenech and Labour MP Helena Dalli.
