[Watch] Education Minister hoped for separate higher education law
Education Minister Dolores Cristina defends the Erasmus issue and B.Educ cases, saying that government did all it could to solve the issues.
Speaking to Saviour Balzan on Reporter, Education Minister Dolores Cristina said that when she first became minister, she wanted to separate higher education from the current legislation.
“But it would have taken too long to carry such changes, changes which would have been impossible to carry during this legislature,” Cristina said, adding that government opted to look at other amendments which called for immediate attention.
Referring to the Erasmus funds, Cristina reiterated that she didn’t know what was going on, while over the B.Educ issue she said all students have been accepted.
