Hal Far distribution centre suffers extensive damage

CPD and Enemalta fire fighters were on site within minutes bringing the fire under control, however important equipment suffered severe damage.

No one was injured during this fire and Enemalta engineers and technicians are working hard in order to try and bypass this substation and restore electricity to the areas affected, namely Hal Far and parts of Zurrieq.

The cause of the fire has not yet been identified.
