John Mamo nominated for EXPO 2015 Commissioner
Minister for Economy Chris Cardona nominates commercial law professor as Malta's commissioner for EXPO 2015
Professor John Mamo has been nominated for Commissioner for the EXPO 2015 in Milan, Minister for the Economy and Investment Chris Cardona announced.
"The experience John Mamo has gained in the commercial law field will ensure that Malta's participation in the Milan EXPO 2015 will be a success," Cardona said.
In 2002, John Mamo, a commercial law professor at the University of Malta, was appointed Data Protection Commissioner.
He has now been nominated to coordinate Malta's participation in the EXPO which will be held under the theme 'Feeding the planet, energy'.
Mamo is also an honorary consultant for Mamo TCV and has continued to serve as chairman or director of various companies, including Fiat Group/Chrysler as well as the Hyundai Motor Co. Franchise.
The EXPO 2015 will take place between 1st May and 31st October 2015.
Following a decision by International Exhibitors Bureau (BIE) General Assembly in Paris, EXPO 2015 was officially launched on the 23rd of November 2010.
