Clint Camilleri, the youngest Labour MEP candidate has today launched his electoral campaign and slogan 'B'Hegga ghal Pajjizna' which he said "reflects my enthusiasm and willingness to work in the best interest of our islands."

The 25-year-old architect and Qala mayor said he is determined to use all his energy and enthusiasm "to make a difference within the European Parliament" if people put faith in him.

Camilleri said that if elected to office he intends to focus his energy in helping Maltese citizens "to become more aware of opportunities that they may exploit as EU citizens."

Listing his priorities, the Labour candidate said that youth employment and educational opportunities within  the European Institutions themselves as well as in other member states topped his agenda.

He added that other areas of focus include "irregular migration, better accessibility for our islands, rights of minorities within our country and in Europe and tapping of more EU funds together with particular focus on our islands' separate regionality needs."
