Parliamentary Secretary for EU Funds Dr Ian Borg met with a group of students who have dyslexia to discuss the challenges they face in their everyday lives.

Borg spoke with the students and their parents about difficulties they encounter and about opportunities available to them via European funding such as Erasmus+ and the European Social fund.

Some of the students said that they were in the process of applying for an Erasmus+ program, in the hopes of participating in a student exchange with other European students who have similar difficulties, so they can share their experiences.

Borg encouraged the students and their parents to remain proactive in pursuing such opportunities so that more positive changes can be implemented in this sector.

He also encouraged dialogue with the education authorities so that more awareness can be raised about their difficulties, leading to more Social Fund projects being dedicated to improving their academic lives.
