Former One head of news appointed at Wasteserv

A week after Manuel Micallef was replaced from his post as ONE TV head of news; the former Labour candidate and GWU secretary general will now take up a position at Wasteserv, Sunday newspaper Illum reveals.

Illum reveals that Micallef, who weeks after he had unsuccessfully contested the March 2013 general election was appointed as head of news, has now been employed within the Human Resources Department at Wasteserv.

The ONE TV newsroom top spot has now been handed to former Labour party councillor Aleander Balzan. Balzan was crucial in setting up inewsmalta, the digital arm of the General Workers’ Union newspaper department and was it's editor until a week ago.
