Muscat's 'deafening silence' unacceptable, PN says
Every time Prime Minister Joseph Muscat feels uneasy addressing an issue, his silence is deafening, opposition says
Prime Minister Joseph Muscat’s “deafening silence” on the people’s concerns over the berthing of an LNG storage vessel inside Marsaxlokk bay and the promotion of the Armed Forces of malta’s top brass before issuing security clearance is “unacceptable,” the PN said.
In a statement issued today, the opposition said that “every time Prime Minister Joseph Muscat feels uneasy addressing an issue, his silence is deafening.”
Citing Muscat’s absence from yesterday’s parliamentary debate on the Delimara power plant and its impact on the environment and other security concerns as a case in point.
“Despite these plans are becoming a cause for concern for residents living in the surrounding areas of Marsaxlokk bay, the Prime Minister did not find time to answer to these concerns raised in parliament,” the PN said.
“This is unacceptable and the prime minister cannot go on remaining silent,” the opposition added.
