Englishman hit by car in Sliema

A 66-year-old Englishman was this morning hit by a car in Tower Road, Sliema.

The man is not said to be in critical condition but was taken to Mater Dei Hospital soon after.

The incident occurred at around 8.45am close to the Diplomat Hotel, the police said.

The car was a Peugeot 107 rental, which was being driven by a 40-year-old Spanish women.
