Over half a million raised for Puttinu Cares Foundation

The generosity of the Maltese was celebrated last night when over half a million were raised in just three hours on Good Friday.

The funds, €515,000, were raised during Xarabank in aid of the Puttinu Cares cancer support group.

A total of €75,000 were raised on Thursday night during the Good Friday night walk with a record number of participants reaching 8,000 participants. Last year over 4,000 people took part raising €50,000.

Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group was officially set up in 2002. It is a non governmental, non profit-making organisation.
