Vibe FM keeps up the heat on Bay Radio
Relatively new-comer dance and r&b radio station Vibe FM has managed to eat into Bay Radio’s dominant audience share, that although remains the ‘most tuned-in’ station, it has lost 3.1% of it’s listeners.
According to a Broadcasting Authority survey Vibe FM has registered an increase of 1.5% in audience and now ranks at 6.7% marking the fastest increase in listenership.
Analysed by station, Bay Radio remains the most listened to radio station, followed by ONE radio (14.14%) and Calypso Radio (10.11%).
While Bay Radio had increased its audience by 3.9% during October-December 2009, it lost 3.1% of its listeners to other local stations, namely Vibe FM.
Vibe FM has managed to recruit popular deejays Pierre Cordina, Jonathan Abel, Tony Tony, JD Patrick, Ternisha and J. Joy.
The highest increase in the number of radio listeners was registered by ONE radio (2.21%) over the previous assessment conducted between October-December 2009.
Other radio stations ratings : Radju Malta (8.7%), Magic FM (6.3%), X FM (4.9%), Radio 101 (4.8%), RTK (5.5%), Campus FM (0.4%).
Almost unheard is Radju Parlament that broadcasts live parliamentary debates (0.03%)
