Chief Justice to chair last appeal on September 6
Chief Justice Vincent de Gaetano will preside over his last appeal hearing on Monday September 6, before taking up his new office as Judge at the European Court for Human Rights in Strasbourg.

A successor to the vacant post of Chief Justice will be announced by government on September 7.
No names have yet been decided on, although three judges have been reportedly been short-listed, with Judge Giannino Caruana Demajo being considered as a 'favourite' for the post by Justice Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici.
